A Fantabulous Weekend

(Me, with my birthday "hangover."  I started to come down with Caylee's cold.)

I have to play catch up for this past weekend.  It was a great weekend and I am so starting to get Christmas antsy. Even though I have been achy, sneezy, coughy, and several other sickie dwarfs, I've enjoyed myself and the post-birthday merriment.

Jon took me out this weekend to celebrate my birthday, adult style.  We dropped the girls off at Dawnie's house, grabbed a few things at the store for the girls' Christmas tree, headed over to Geisha House for some OUTSTANDING sushi (seriously the best sushi I've ever had), and went to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.  Everything about that day was awesome.  And I will not spill the beans about the most recent installment of Harry Potter, but I will say that it's the best movie yet and the most accurate to the book.  So great.

We purchased a lovely turkey fryer this weekend.  We want to fry a turkey for our guests on Christmas Eve this year, but also needed to try it out first.  So Thanksgiving is going to be our test run.  Then we came home and set up the girls' Christmas tree, strung it with lights, and watched Caylee as she sat with wide eyes and "ooooohhhhh"s coming out of her mouth.  She even tried to put a few of the branches on it.  Jocey is big enough this year that she was really able to help put it together.  We will decorate it with ornaments tomorrow.

(Jon let the kid in him come out - he did a couple of laps and jumps on a kid's dirt bike in Walmart)
