You all have been so patient with me. You have asked for pictures of our new house. So here they are. We are still in the process of painting, and we are waiting for the tax credit so that we can get new carpet. But we are almost completely unpacked and getting used to our new surroundings. I hope to stay here for a long time.

Remember how the backyard looked before? Yeah, we've been busy. Two trips to the city dump (with an open bed trailer, FYI) cleared out most of the big stuff.
I love these bushes. They are sage. Not only do they smell incredible after it has rained (does it rain here?), but they also bloom these lovely purple flowers when the seasons are changing. Fall anyone? YAY!
This is a view of our backyard at night with the garden lights on. When we moved in, we had no clue there were garden lights. But once we got the massive weeds cleared, there they were. It took us a little while to figure out how they worked, but they are lovely now. Jon and I love to sit out on the patio at night and watch the military jets flying around.
This has to be one of my favorite areas of my house - I get to see my lovely family every time I look up and remember that they are mine forever.
We bought this bookcase 2 years ago, had it broken apart into 3 pieces because it didn't fit in one area. Now we get to have it all together again. We have plans to paint it the same color as the walls so it looks like a built in bookcase.
Caylee's room. Can't wait to paint it!
I saw this idea on a decorator's website. Only their idea was just to hang cute clothes on the wall. I took it one step further and hung up Caylee's blessing dress.
Jocey's room. Again, can't wait to paint it!
We painted the stairwell the other night. I LOVE the banister. It's one of the few things in the house that didn't get destroyed by the previous tenants.
A view of my "music area." I like that I don't have to have my piano students all over the house anymore.
The kitchen - just ignore the paint cans on the counter - they are temporary. :)
