Anyway, so I spent the day yesterday recovering on the couch, did a little blog background update for summer (do you like?), and worked on things for my family reunion this summer. So here's a plethera of things to catch up on:
Mother's Day was wonderful. I got to sleep in, a much welcomed thing. I woke up to breakfast in bed (homemade waffles, eggs, and strawberries - mmmmmmmmmmmm) and roses.
Because Jocey was sick, Jon stayed home from church with her while I went and taught my class. After church, I came home to this:
Oh, crawfish boil. Again, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Jon learned how to do this on his mission (he served in Louisiana), and boy was it yummy. We crawfish, andouille sausage, corn on the cob, potatoes, and an artichoke. My favorite was the corn. Jon picked out some really sweet corn, and boiled with the spices just made it so good.
Yeah, I was pretty happy. Then we ended the day with strawberry shortcake (my favorite), and the rest of the night has already been explained above. At least the day was good. :)
One day I told Jocey to go in and go potty by herself. I saw the light go on, which is usually a good sign, but heard no noise. I quietly walked over to the bathroom to see what she was doing and saw this:
Guess she takes after her daddy?
We also broke 100 degrees this past weekend, so we decided that Jocey's little pool was not going to work anymore. Walmart had a huge clearance sale on their pools, and we took advantage - we goot her an 8 foot snapset pool. It's huge and holds enough water for her to swim in.

Sorry you've been sick. It sounds like a fun weekend other than that! I am sending Nicholas to you for a few days....maybe you can potty train him too?
I was hoping you would get one of those pools. She will progress very quickly if she can practice each day. Call me and we'll start lessons.
We had the pukies too, the same time...at least we didn't eat strawberries...thank heavens for small miracles!
(it was hot dogs at our house...I'll never eat one again!)
And the Cafe Rio recipes look so good! I'm excited to try them!
Hey Thanks! I do check out your blog all the time for your amazing recipes! I have always loved the food that came out of your moms house and I am sure yours is just as amazing! I made the crock pot enchaladas and loved loved loved them!
