Spring has sprung...and so have allergies

Spring has arrived with a vengance in Las Vegas. This past week, we had temperatures in the mid 80's, ALREADY! Yes, the A/C was a pumpin' at our house. But Jocey loves it because that means breaking out the three S's: sandals, shorts, and, soon, the swimsuit. She even got her first Sunday without tights, lucky girl! Here she is, with her new spring dress, with hair finally long enough to put in pigtails.


But with the warmer weather, we have had a crazy influx of pollen. I was watching the news and they said that 1500 pollen spores was very high. We were measuring above 9000! YOWZAH! Jocey has had her first bout with allergies, and it's been no fun. My allergies seem to be kicking my rear in high gear this year, resulting in constant runny nose and "can't talk to save my life" sore throat. BLECKH! Poor Jocey though, really didn't know what she was getting herself into. She just laid on the couch and said, "Mommy, I sick. Get bandaid and cream!" So I got her an oreo instead. Super Mommy to the rescue!


And finally, because it has been warmer, we were able to finish the backyard! YAY! Jocey and the pups love it. Soon, we hope to add a slide/climber to the mix. Jon has been so wonderful to labor back there. And a big shout out to the missionaries for helping clear all that yucky lava rock! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!
