Jon and I decided that we needed to go to the temple this morning and make recent events a serious matter of prayer and anything else spiritual that we could do. We went to the 10:00 session, and felt at peace with things by the time we left. We were making our way home around 1:00 when Jon received a phone call from his Regional VP, Dave Drexler. He informed Jon that he had gone out to California to let everyone know about the area closings and that Jon was being laid off. I guess the employees out at that office gave him what can only be described as a tongue lashing, saying that this would be the biggest mistake of his career. Long story short, he agreed and called Jon to offer him his job back.
We are ecstatic, so grateful for this blessing, but are very much aware of how volatile this economy is and everyone involved. We are still exploring options for continuing Jon's education, while enjoying continued income and insurance. We are definately aware of where this blessing came from, and I am so thankful for a husband that lives a righteous life and is worthy of his priesthood so that he can bless our family. Call me a religious fanatic, but I owe this completely and solely to my Heavenly Father. I know He knows our struggles, I know He knows our worries and anxieties, and I know He knows who I am.
I am thankful for my Heavenly Father, I am thankful for temples, I am thankful for my husband, I am thankful for my daughter, and I am SO thankful for friends and family that I know we can count on, whether it be in good times or bad. Again, thank you for all your help, prayers, and concern. We love you all.

Yates!!! Let me say I really was praying for y'all. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't come see you in good ol' Las Vegas. (Like I come anyways right?) I miss you! Oh and I love the song that plays on your blog.
Yay! Yay! Yay!!!
What a wonderful blessing! I am so happy to hear such great news.
That is such great news, Catherine! I'm so happy for you. Even with all of the crazy and evil things happening in our world right now (and with so many deceived people), it's a blessing knowing that we can always turn to our Heavenly Father for comfort and guidance.
Fabulous! We are so thrilled for you guys! Good luck with all your future decisions! You (and we) are truly blessed!
