The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Well, at least this year it is. After Jon got laid off and then hired back on (which we are still reeling from) we are very grateful for the ability to have a Christmas. It won't be much, but at least it'll be something. So last night, we went to Wal-mart and bought a bunch of Christmas tree stuff. When Jon got laid off, he said, "Why don't we put up the Christmas decorations, maybe that will help lift our spirits." Well, when he got hired back on, I used it to my advantage and continued the process. :)

So, you'll be seeing Christmas things very soon - pictures of the house, blog layout changes, etc. In fact, my recipe blog is already changed. Check it out and tell me what you think. Jocey and I are putting up the tree today, amidst making Pani Po Po and Taro Rolls. This is going to be a good day.

Oh, and an update: Jon filled out his application last night for the University of Phoenix. He'll be getting his Bachelor's Degree online, while continuing to work full time. We are so excited about it. Yes, we know that our time is VERY limited now, and that Jon will be loosing more hair. But, it will be so worth it in the end. He talked to the counselor yesterday, and he's already guaranteed entrance and financial aid. I guess Heavenly Father sometimes chooses to bless us through adversity. I don't think we would have considered this option if things hadn't happened the way they did this week.

You and Jon are such an inspiration. We take so many things in life for granted, and I love to visit your blog each day. You are so grateful for the things that you have been given, and I know Heavenly Father does bless you. I miss you tons. I so hope to get out that way next year and see you guys. Hang in there girl, cant wait to see your pictures!

His ways aren't our ways are they? I often think about the things Heavenly Father sees that we don't. I often wonder about what he has in store. I guess we just have to keep holding on and pushing forward.

Christmas music started with the snowfall at the beginning of the week and our blogs will probably go Christmas after my birthday!! So enjoy the spirit of the season and I'm so glad that things are working out for you!
