[ Thankful Thursday ]

Today I am thankful for beautiful things on the earth.

One of my favorites are Gerbera Daisies. This is my favorite flower. My sister-in-law brought me a boquet last week, and it had a couple of these in it. I love them, they are so beautiful.

Another is fall and the Blue Ridge Mountains. This picture is taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia. When I was younger, my family lived in Maryland for a year, and this is one of the places we loved to visit.

Another is the amazing islands of Hawaii. I visited Oahu a few years ago when my sister, Sara, was going to BYU-Hawaii. It is seriously amazing there, and if you go, you have to visit the north part of the island, because that's where all the beauty is. You can find beaches like this in remote areas. The mountains behind are where Jurassic Park was filmed.

Finally (but definately not the last, just trying to keep this short), stars. I love the stars. Living in Wyoming for 4 years, you are out in the middle of nowhere, and you can see so many stars. I loved laying on the trampoline at night and seeing the stars. I even remember a summer when the Young Men and Young Women of our ward went on a campout together, and we slept out under the stars. It was amazing.
