After we got back down from the mountain, Jocey was still itching to run around, so we stopped by the playground and let her run the pent up energy out of her. She's becoming quite the little climber - she mastered the ladder, the rock wall, and even climbed up one of the slides. It was so fun to watch her out there. We haven't been to the playground much over the summer because it's so blessed hot. So we are welcoming these cooler temperatures (although we're not quite ready for the consistent 40's and 50's yet) so Jocey and Shylowe can get out more frequently. We had a great weekend and are looking forward to the fall, FINALLY!

A Fun, (Winter?) Weekend
Well, we didn't get snow like they did in Reno or in Evanston, but the Las Vegas area got a bit of snow this weekend. Okay, fine, it was up in the mountains, but we weren't about to miss it. As soon as I was done with Mormon Youth rehearsals on Saturday morning, we jumped in the car and headed up to Mt. Charleston. At about 5500 feet, the blizzard started. It didn't accumulate to anything where we were at, and once we got up to the lodge the sun came out, but it was still good to see the snow, feel the cold air, smell the fireplaces, and enjoy a nice bowl of clam chowder when we got back. And yes, we couldn't resist the egg nog display at Wal-mart, so we had warm egg nog last night too.

Wasn't this weekend amazing!!?? How cute that you guys took off up Mt. Charleston ... can't wait for some accumulations up there, our girls ready for some sledding! Also, that park on Elkorn is my current favorite ... really enjoy the "trappage factor" there ... love love love that fence and that the odds are in my favor of NOT losing track of a kid or two. =)
What a fun weekend! We haven't braved Mt. Charleston yet...but will need to soon! I also love that park. I love that there are no swings! I know I'm a mean lazy mom but no swings means less work for me!
