[ Thankful Thursday ]

I love my little girl, she is so darn cute. But let me tell you, terrible two has hit us with a vengance! Not only is she randomly throwing tantrums at the smallest things, demanding things from us, ignoring us, and so forth, but she is becoming more adventuresome than ever!

I had one of those terrible mother moments the other day. I was downstairs cleaning the kitchen when I noticed that it was very quiet. Any mom knows that's a dangerous thing to have around the house - silence. I was elbow-deep in cleaning solution with wet floors, so I called for her. This is how it went:

"Jocey? Where are you?"
"Momma, I room (meaning she was in her bedroom)."
"Okay, are you playing?"
"Uh huh! I books!"
"Okay, can you come here so I can see you?" (I always want to make sure she hasn't smeared lipstick, lotion, or any other greasy formulated thing all over herself and other parts of the house)
---silence---
"Jocey, come here."
---more silence---
"Jocey, COME HERE NOW!" (by now I was getting angry and yelling)
---still more silence and no Jocey---

So, I storm upstairs, her bedroom door is closed. Panic sets in that I will open the door and find a disaster waiting for me. I am ready to yell, but when I open the door, I find Jocey in her crib with half her stuffed animals, her quilt, and half of her books. It was hilarious, and I wish I had taken a picture. Yes folks, she has mastered climbing in to her crib WITH the rails up. She hasn't figured out how to get out, YET, but I'm hoping to get the toddler bed up next week before she tries. Michelle, I honestly don't know how you do it with 4 boys! Kudos to you!

Today I am thankful for guilty pleasures. These are two of mine:

Every morning, I have my nice cup of pero (Jon jokes with me about it, says "How's your coffee?" For the record, it's NOT coffee) and sometimes I even indulge in a couple pieces of toast with Nutella on them. Darn Europeans - getting me addicted to yummy food! Yeah, that's what I need to do - blame it on the Europeans! Problem solved. :)

Well if I had to take pictures of the 2 things I was most thankful for; 1 would be of diet coke (yes I know I'm a sinner!) and 2 would be of the clock at 5:30! Yeah Daddy's home and Mommy is off duty!

You'll have to let me know how to whole toddler bed thing goes....I'm not ready to try that with Nick yet!

On my mission in France we would buy Nutella in gallon jars and it would be gone in two weeks. I love Nutella.
