This year for our anniversary, I took Jon to Tahiti! Okay, so not really Tahiti, but Tahiti kind of came to us. I fixed a little luau feast for us, of grilled chicken and pineapple, taro rolls, salad, and pani po po! Top it off with a little pina colada (it's about the most tropical drink I can fix). It was a great dinner, and I am very proud of myself (excuse the pride) that I could make all of this food from scratch! I've eaten it all on Oahu, but I never dreamed I could make it myself.
Anyway, after dinner, I took Jon to Tahiti. Oh wait, I already said that. :) I transformed our bedroom into a Tahitian bungalo, complete with mosquito next, palm leaves, and tropical flowers. I've taken pictures of this evenings' festivities. I'm pretty proud of myself that I made it all the way to today without spilling the beans. I've been planning this for two months, and it's like Christmas morning - the anticipation has been KILLING me! It worked out great, and Jon loved it. Now I just have to keep my terrible two year old out of my sanctuary.

Cat ... you're SUCH a good wife! How creative ... and fun ... and unique! I hope Jon enjoyed the tropical getaway, and all the effort you put into the amazing gift of "escape from reality". =) Happy Anniversary to you both!
Happy Anniversary! What a fun idea! I'm too lazy for that and we usually just end up going to dinner! But I'm inspired for next year!
Cat, you are so creative. It's almost sick! Wonderful job, I'm sure Jon was VERY thrilled to have such an exotic anniversary!
