After a great morning out bowling, we came home, played with Jocey's new blocks (she's becoming quite the little contractor, supervising the building of a tower, a robot, a plane, and a tunnel), took a little nap, and then headed out to the pool. Once again, it was a huge hit with Jocey. This time though, she actually got really brave and started jumping in by herself and even tried to swim a little bit. She is so amazing to me. I'm glad she has Jon to let her live a little - I'm afraid I am the nervous parent.
After swimming, we did the all American barbeque, complete with killer burgers (our infamous "secret-yet-not-so-secret" recipe), fries, and brownie sundaes. Sorry, no apple pie - it's too hot to cook a pie! Then, we headed out to watch fireworks with our friends, the Jentzsch's. It was a great end to a GREAT day.
Happy Birthday, America!

Cracks me up to see Krista,Kurt and the kids! Tell them hello for us! Make sure not to tell them EVERYTHING we did at Ricks, they may not think of me the same anymore! ha ha ha!> Im so glad you guys are hanging out. I talked to Jenni Anderson, they just had a baby boy a few weeks ago. She was asking to get in touch with you again..=) Cute Blog! Hope to see you soon.
Catherine, it sounds like so much fun! I wish we could come down and be in the pool -- anything water sounds good around here, where it's been near 100 for a week. I know that's "cool" for you guys, but I'm dying!
I'd be happy to make you a quilt -- just give me the fabric, it was a load of fun! You may want to get it sooner rather than later, though -- I've got big plans for taking November off! :) e-mail me if you're serious.
By the way, I just had to tell you, I once got a 13 bowling. Yeah. For real. It was a first date, too. Lame.
wow! you guys had some good times. I love your family picture at the beginning. you look so good!!
Looks like you guys had a great 4th!!! And can i just say, your bowling scores are outstanding! Jared and I are lucky if we break 100 ... you guys would just wipe the floor with us!! =)
What fun. We went bowling a few days before we moved...I bowled a whopping 73. Our 4 year old beat both David and I. It's embarassing!
