It seemed like a nice area. After we dropped Bob off, we decided to take a little hike and check things out ourselves.

Home on the Range
Well, we successfully sent "Bob" back to his home today. (I don't know why I chose the name Bob, I just thought it was funny to name a turtle "Bob.") We drove about 10 miles from here and dropped him off at a place where he would be able to swim around, have other turtles to be with, and eat whatever he wants. He seemed pretty happy to be there, making a run for the water as soon as I put him out on the grass. Pretty quickly he was swimming from top to bottom of the pond, making the tadpoles mad. I am just glad that I could help put an animal back into its original habitat. Here are some pictures of the release (and I swear, I heard a choir of angels singing "Born Free" when he entered the water):
