Jon's 30th Birthday

We celebrated Jon's 30th Birthday on Saturday. We had a nice adult afternoon out with Jon's sister, Dawnie, and her husband, Eric. We weren't sure if I was going to be able to make it, having the stomach flu the night before. But I was bound and determined to have my afternoon of reliving my youth.

Since Jon was turning 30, I decided it might be fun to do something that reminded him of being younger. I surprised him with a nice crab lunch, and then we headed out to do a little go-kart racing. I think we were the oldest 4 people on the 2 tracks we hit up. It was a blast, and as you can see from the score board, yours truly was a little too careful on the track - hint: I was driving car #10. Jon threw caution to the wind, and almost beat the time of the day (he was in car #8). I think it was the perfect way to celebrate 30, so what do we do for 40? Good thing I have 10 years to plan.

Looks like a fabulous birthday! I would definitely be the slowest out on the track too...:). I sure hope you're all over the stomach flu. Happy 30th Jon! And thanks Catherine for all your sweet comments. I have also been taking your aptitude test, very fun! Yeah for blogs!
