Rhyming Time

I was reading to Jocey tonight. The book of choice -

This was one of my favorites growing up.  I remember laying in bed and my dad reading various Dr. Seuss books to us: Horton, Bartholomew Cubbins, The Grinch, Cat in the Hat, etc.  And I had a small moment tonight where I felt a little tug at my heart for the Seuss.  Jocey was rhyming right along with me.  She loved this book (it was the first time I've read it to her).  She could anticipate what the rhyming words were.  It was awesome.  My favorite?

"Who am I?
My name is Ish.
On my hand I have a dish.

I have this dish
to help me wish.

When I wish to make a wish
I wave my hand with a big swish swish.
Then I say, "I wish for fish!"
And I get fish right on my dish.

So...
if you wish to wish a wish,
you may swish for fish
with my Ish wish dish."

"And now
good night.
It is time to sleep.
So we will sleep
with our pet Zeep.

Today is gone. Today was fun.
Tomorrow is another one.
Every day,
from here to there,
funny things are everywhere."
