The girls and I took the opportunity, this chilly weekend, to go shopping for some fun spring crafts to start making. The girls were so excited to see Easter stuff out at Michael's. We picked up a few fun things, including a little foam set of bunny ears for them to play pretend with. Caylee's a fan:
We didn't get much time to spend with Jon over the weekend. He had a major research paper to write about business ethics and varying cultures. It was good though to spend so much time with my girls. We ran a bunch of errands, got the car washed, stopped for shakes at McDonald's, and sang silly songs in the car.
I spent a lot of time last week catching up on scrapbooking. And I like the way I'm doing it right now - working on THIS year. I'll have to catch up on the last 3 years later. And I like getting creative right now. Jon and I talked this weekend about photography. My cousin, Kristen, who took our family pictures, is such an inspiration to me. I don't think she knows how much I have always looked up to her. Whether it be through music, teaching, or her photography, I admire her. We have a lot in common and many years during our childhood were wasted on silly drama. I am thinking about starting to learn more about photography, using the camera I have now, learning Photoshop, and messing around on my own to see if I might be able to develop a new talent.
