(This weekend, Jon and I got away for a couple of hours and did this...)
(...and ate this! OH.MY.LANTA!)
This was an interesting weekend, which did not go as planned. Jon and I got up early Saturday morning, left the girls with my mother in law for a few hours, and got out for our first date of 2011. It was my turn to decide what to do, so we went bowling and then had some lunch. My bowling was less than spectacular, Jon did great, but we had such a fun time and it was nice to get out, childless, for just a bit.
While we were out though, my MIL called, informing me that Jocey had a fever. Over the past week, she had a friend over that was coughing and sneezing all over my house. BAH! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! People, why do you send your kids out to play, to go to church and school, when they are sick! We got home, discovered she had a temperature of 102, which did not break until yesterday morning. She is doing much better this morning, but I am praying that Caylee doesn't get this. Whatever it is, it is one nasty little beast.
So, we hung around the house yesterday, took naps, and generally stayed in our jammies all day. I feel like I need a day to recover myself. I started reading "Are You Ready!" by Bob Harper yesterday. He's one of the trainers off of "The Biggest Loser." It's an interesting read, one that I did not expect, and I am honestly having a difficult time with some of the things he's asking the reader to do. Difficult in a good way. I'm hoping it will help me get over some things. Looking forward to a good week and hopefully a healthy weekend next week. BAH!
