It's beginning to look a lot like...monsoon season?

(Yup, it's still grey outside!  Some people are sick of it.  Not me.  Nope.  I'll enjoy the break from the perpetual sunshine.)

Holy cow, I don't think I've ever seen this much rain in Las Vegas.  It has been raining, nonstop, for just shy of a week.  It's been amazing.  My backyard is soft, my outdoor lights shorted out, and now they're talking about flooding.  Wow.

I've started my Christmas movie marathon.  Tonight's pick - Family Man, with Nicholas Cage.  Seriously one of my favorite parts in this is at the beginning and the end when he is outside walking around and it starts snowing.  Oh, how I miss that gentle snowfall at  night, how it makes everything beautiful and quiet.  Not enough though to be shoveling or snowplowing through the 2 feet that my parents are dealing with tonight.  No sir!

Good news - haven't had a headache all day.  Didn't have to take any pain meds today.  NONE!  For the first time in over a month.  My ears are still ringing, but the pain is gone, at least for the moment.  And I'll take that and enjoy it.
