Deck the Halls

(Our home is starting to look festive.  I love that I am able to spread out my decorations this year instead of having them all clumped into 2 rooms.)

The vacation is over.  It's hard to get back into things.  Especially when I didn't finish decorating over the weekend.  I feel like this year I am so behind on things.  The Christmas shopping isn't done (thank heavens for the Internet!), the decorating isn't done, and I know I'm not going to be able to bake this year like I had wanted.  Oh well.  I'll get over it.  :)

I did finish the Christmas tree downstairs today as well as a few home decorating things.  I remade the wreath that I usually hang on our front door.  I made it back in 1999, when the things I used were in style and when I decorated in red and gold and plaid.  EW!  I like it much better now.  Simple with poinsettas and the same white ribbon I used on the tree.  Now I just need to invest in a new door hanger, but that can wait.

I am working on the menu and invitations for our Christmas Eve party.  Seems like we're going to have a full house.  I am excited.  It will be a wonderful celebration and I am so glad we do our big meal on Christmas Eve rather than Christmas Day.
