Stephanie Nielson and I are like T.H.I.S. now (crossed fingers implied here). Okay, okay, so not really. I am more like a stalker of hers now. Her blog is my addiction. It's my daily dose of reality - of hard times and good times, of trials and blessings. I read her blog entry this morning from yesterday (that's my morning ritual - meal shake and reading Nie Nie), and I could not believe my eyes.
Here is a woman, walking around with 95% of her body burned. She survived the impossible - a horrific plane crash. She is in pain constantly. But she gets up each day because she is a mom and a wife. She doesn't let life pass her by because people consider her "ugly." She gets out. She bears her testimony. And people have the gall to get on her blog and write nasty things to her! I even looked it up and yes, there are some very unkind people out there. HOW!? She is a walking miracle! And she is kind and loving. HOW CAN YOU ATTACK THAT?! How can you call her ugly and selfish, vain and foolish? I think it is ironic how we can watch television shows with people who are suffering and cry for them, get mad at the antagonist. But in real life, we attack those people with things worse than burns and injuries.
So, I am sending a shout out to my blog buddy - You are an amazing woman and B.E.A-utiful! And one thing comes to my mind when I read entries like you posted yesterday - "What the world needs now is love, sweet love. No not just for some, but for everyone!"
D&C 84:88 - "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up."
Keep smiling.

Thanks to you, Catherine, I am now also addicted to "Nie Nie". She's amazing and I was also shocked to read that she gets nasty letters from anyone! HOW?!?! WHY?!?! Thank you for sharing her blog, though...it's been very uplifting for me too. Hope you're doing well!
