Where? Who? What the.....?

Is it really March 21st?  Where on earth has the time gone?  That means it's been 2 weeks AGAIN since I posted anything on here.  At least I'm keeping up the 365 blog.  :)  That might give you all a small glimpse into what is going on here at our house.

I won't give you a day by day update like I've been doing, just the general highlights.  I think that will be sufficient and keep you from falling asleep, because honestly, who wants to hear all of the boring details.  :)

The big news is that we are in escrow on a house!  We are thrilled and crossing our fingers because this house is a short sale and we are just waiting on the papers from the bank to finalize things.  Short sales are a pain in the patootie, but hopefully it'll be worth it.  We've spent a couple of evenings at Home Depot and Lowe's, checking out paint colors, laminate and vinyl flooring, ceiling fans, and other items for the potential new house.

We are now the proud owners of a Wii system.  It has been so much fun for our family, Jocey included, to play video games together.  Jocey is particularly fond of Mario Brothers, even though she is amazing at bowling and wakeboarding on Wii Resort.  It's so much fun to have something to physically interact with.  Jocey sure is getting her exercise every day!

Right after we bought the  Wii though, the television in the family room broke.  Thankfully, it is still under warranty and was fixed at no cost to us.  But for almost a week, we lived out of our bedroom.  But it was also nice enough outside that I got out to do a little yardwork and Jocey was able to ride her bike.

Caylee turned 4 months old this past week.  She is doing fabulously, despite the setback in a little cold that she shared with Mommy.  She is weighing in at 16 pounds, length at 25 inches, and very healthy.  She is eating solid foods now, still trying to adjust to the texture of fruits and vegetables.  She is rolling over on her side with ease, making attempts to get over on her tummy.  She has the gift of gab and gives us good belly laughs now.  She is a joy.

Jocey is amazing.  She has requested a room of her own so she can get some sleep at night, which we gladly obliged her with.  She is already up to the letter Q in the alphabet and can write all our names.  She begs me every day to do preschool.  I cannot believe the speed at which these kids grow up!  I am so very proud of her.  She received a letter from her Grandpa who is serving in Iraq.  She cherishes that letter and tells all her friends about it.

Jon is alive and kicking.  He is a busy guy and I am so grateful to just see him for a few short moments each evening before we go to bed.  And as for me, just staying awake each day is a feat.  I have really thrown myself into my cooking blog and I am loving it.  It's so fun to be able to share things that I have learned.  And I am constantly getting new ideas on things I want to do to our new home.

That basically sums it up.  Nothing real exciting, as always.  As we get more news on the house though, I will keep everyone posted.  And here's to hoping that I get something posted before the end of the month passes me by!  :)
