Blah Week, with some rain

Oh, where to start for this past week? I am not quite sure. I'm surviving on pure adrenaline today, and not quite sure if I am really awake or if this is just a vivid dream. So, to avoid rambling on incoherently, I'll just give you all a daily recap for the week.

Last Saturday, we did our normal shopping day, only this time I was on my own with the two girls. OH-MY-GOSH! Anyone who is a single parent gets my sincerest humility. They were well behaved, but trying to cart around a 3 year old, an infant in a car seat, and then losing my shopping list about sent me over the edge. We spent the afternoon house hunting, not quite sure how that is going to turn out yet.

Sunday we were thrilled to see the Colts and Saints advance to the Superbowl. I think this is the first time in years that I have been truly interested in the Superbowl. Both days on the weekend were thankfully spent lazily, although I don't think Jon or I feel like we caught up on any rest.

Monday was back to work, back to reality. Nothing exciting. Tuesday was the same. Tuesday night though, it started raining again and continued into Wednesday evening. The ground was already saturated from the previous week and we had a small amount of flooding in the backyard and garage. Nothing serious, thankfully. I am starting to feel like I am not living in a desert anymore, and it's kind of nice. I know this will change as Spring comes on, but oh well.

Thursday was spent packing some more and praying that Caylee would take a nap. She is getting into a weird funk where she naps for about 30 minutes at a time and because of that she is REALLY cranky during the day. I don't want to complain about it much because she is going to bed around 8:00 each night and not getting up until 4:00 AM. LOVING THAT! But still, cranky baby is wearing on me.

Jocey has been doing great with preschool - she can already write the letter A, B, and C. She loves having homework (I need to video tape her asking to do homework so when she is in middle and high school I can show it to her). Her homework assignment each Friday is to write a letter to her Grandpa in Iraq which she absolutely loves.

Jon has had an insane week with work and is receiving more responsibility each day. We hope that equals out to an increase on the financial side. But they love him there and I am so grateful he just has a job right now. He learned this week that within this year, 90,000 more Las Vegans will lose their jobs. Holy crap batman! So, I will count my blessings and pray that we're not in that lot.

I don't have any pictures to update, so the one from Wednesday's rain storm will have to do. Seriously, that's how exciting our lives are right now! So, on to another week, hoping that we receive some good news on the house hunt. Will keep everyone posted!
