Spooky Happenings...

Okay, so I've talked about Clark Griswold across the street. Well, this weekend, we definitely had spooky things going on at our house for Halloween - yes, the Christmas tree is up, the house is decorated, and we broke open the egg nog. :) It seriously took me 2 days to put the tree up - 1 day was JUST lights, 800 of them. And it was really nice this year to be able to put ornaments all over the tree. Granted, the lower half is all kid-friendly ornaments (aka ones I would not mind getting broken), but it's fully decorated. My last year for at least 2 more years. Here's a shot of the tree, it's a little blury, I've got to mess with my camera more:

And this year, I decorated the whole tree in red and silver with white lights. It's really beautiful. The picture doesn't do it justice. Last year, after Christmas, I purchased a few picture frame ornaments on clearance at Michael's. They of course are silver and red as well, and I am so excited to put our family pictures from the last 3 years in them. Caylee got her first ornament. I bought it at Hallmark, and have totally fallen in love with it:

If you can't tell, they are baby booties. They are ceramic, with little silver decorating on them, hung on cream colored ribbon with "Baby's 1st Christmas" printed on it, and a little "2009" heart at the top. SO FREAKIN' CUTE! It looks so perfect with Jocey's snow globe rattle from her first Christmas.

Anyway, Christmas is NOT in full swing at our house, despite what it looks like. I just am so grateful to have the tree up - I think if I had waited another week it might have sent me into labor. So Merry Halloween everyone!
