Summer Fun

We've tried to enjoy this summer, especially since it hasn't been nearly as hot as it normally is this time of year. We actually went to the Pioneer Day festivities, where Jocey was able to walk on stilts! She had a great time, and afterwards the general comment from her was, "Momma, I so sweaty." It was cooler that evening because of the rain we had been having, but it was very humid.



We've been to Lake Mead a few times, but the pictures are just the same, so I don't take the camera anymore. Plus, one of those times we took our cell phone swimming in the Lake, resulting in a very expensive trip. So, we tend to leave as many electronics at home as possible.

Then this past weekend, we had every intention of going camping with our friends, the Schelins. We had a cool front come through though and because of the high winds we weren't allowed to have a fire or even use propane due to the fire hazard being so high. And what is camping without a fire! So, we had an impromptu afternoon at the Las Vegas Mini Grand Prix. Jocey had a blast being able to ride the rollercoaster, go carts, the slide, and planes. And we had a blast hanging out with our old friends.
