My sister in law has suckered me into freezer meals. Okay, maybe not suckered - that may be too strong of a word. She has a group of friends that she has done this with, and I have expressed interest in doing it too. But their family usually ends up throwing away half of each meal. So her idea was that we split our meals, making two 8x8 pans instead of one 9x13. She also is a very busy mom and really doesn't have time to do the preparation it takes to make 20 meals (There are 4 of them, and they make 5 recipes each - thus 20 meals). So, she told me she'd buy the food, and if I would do all the prep work, we'd call it even. Sounded like a great idea to me. So last night began the work. Not sure I'm ready to have my freezer look like this:
Stay tuned for an actual picture of my freezer after we swap meals this weekend! Hey, I can't complain though, 20 dinners already done and just have to be heated? That's multi-tasking mommy heaven!
