I don't know how Jocey does it, but she always seems to get sick or teeth around holidays. And yesterday, our anniversary, was no exception. In fact, this time she decided to doth both - get sick and cut 4 molars! Poor kid has had her on the "faucet" setting for a couple of days, and we couldn't quite figure out why. She wasn't running a fever, so we just assumed she had a cold. Then yesterday I gave her a potato chip and after she bit into it, spit it out and started crying, "Mommy, mouth hurts!" I asked her if she bit her tongue, and she said no. So I looked in and voila - 4 new molars! I swear, this kid teeths like no other. It's not one tooth at a time, it's at least 4. But hey, at least we get it all over with at once.
Today I am thankful for my husband. Yesterday we celebrated 3 years of marriage, and all 3 have been wonderful. We've had our trials and struggles, just like anyone else, but I am so grateful to have Jon by my side because he makes those trials easy to carry. We've really struggled this past year with alot of things people would consider HUGE - unemployment, new job, my illness, and financial struggles. But this has been the happiest year of my life. And it is because he is by my side and helping me want to be a better person.
You know, most women get flowers on their anniversary. Not me. I got sushi! :D And it was gooooooooooooooooooood! So the second thing I am thankful for today - SUSHI!
