Stuck...for eternity!

This week, Jon and I are celebrating the 2nd anniversary of being sealed in the temple. We were sealed in the Las Vegas Temple on a typically very hot, sunny day. But, it was wonderful. We are so grateful that we were able to have family and friends there with us, people who have stood by our sides and shared in our joys and pains, literally sometimes.

As you can tell by the pictures, I was 9 months pregnant, ready to pop. No, I wasn't just fat and sweaty for no reason. Lucky me, the big circus tent temple dresses come in very handy when you are THAT pregnant. What cracks me up the most is that for the sake of fashion, I squeezed my very swollen feet into my strappy shoes. I'm pretty sure that's why I don't have feeling in them anymore.

The poor temple matrons were so worried about me, they kept giving me pointers like "Don't lean against the alter, you'll pass out." And when I started having contractions while we were waiting for the ceremony, they became even more concerned. They brought me water, kept checking on us every 5 minutes... They said that just a week before, there was another couple there in the same circumstances, and she almost gave birth at the temple! I knew that Jocey wasn't going to come at THAT particular second, so I was okay with a little pain. (In fact, she wasn't going to come for another 2 weeks, and that was even by force!) It was very sweet.

Here are a few pictures from the day:

The kissing picture - why is this so important to have?

I thought this picture was HILARIOUS! Jon, in the palm of my hands.

Thanks to our friend Dustin for taking these pictures! He did a great job in helping us to have memories of this awesome day.

Congratulations Cat and Jon! I remember that day well! What a neat experience! I wish we could have stuck around for the pics but we had a very tiny nursing baby waiting for us! :)
